For the launch of our new service line, we directed and produced ‘La Encantada’ together with a group of creative visionaries across the industry.
The vision I had for ‘La Encantada’ is to capture the magic that many of us believe in but few have come to witness.
This sense of magic I experienced first hand when I initially walked into a floral boutique in Paris.
There was nothing quite like it, the way nature had the ability to completely transport me into another world.
Stepping from busy bustling streets into what felt like an enchanted garden. My life changed from then on. I finally discovered my purpose.
I wanted to capture this same magical feeling at La Encantada. For the romantics, for the believers and for those who wish to believe in something real.
I understand that authentic beauty lies within simplicity. It exists in substance, in depth and between the finer details. That is why we are meticulous about everything. From the floral design to table styling, casting of models to selection of musicians. It was vital that all elements acted in harmony with one another. We believe that when creating art, like poetry, our working style is to compose with notes which work together, and take out everything that is unnecessary. Less is more.
Our shoot is deeply European influenced, touches of old-world charm with elements of modern detailing. It was completely styled with authentic Parisian-style floral arrangements, using flowers, foliage and techniques practiced in France. Tables were framed with authentic French Louis chairs and lined with biscuit-toned linen. On this, we decorated with fine crystal-cut glass, brushed-gold tableware, scalloped edged dinner plates and mocha tapered candles. Menus and stationery were completely hand-written with calligraphy on blush raw-deckle-edged paper.
Other key elements were the bridal dresses and tuxedo. We worked with Designer labels L’eto Bridal and Belance to select pieces that would work with our concept.
The gown was a step away from traditional classics. A relaxed-silhouette silk slip with a beaded sheer overlay, sparkling leaf embroidery and romantic sleeves. The groom was dressed in a contemporary double-breasted jacket constructed from black English linen. We wanted the details to be sophisticated and refined but also embody uniqueness, a contemporary edge, veering away from the predictable traditional attire.
It was important for us to capture the authentic nature of this charming Spanish home, by creating a captivating scene on the Gothic staircase in the entrance of the home. We illuminated the mosaic tiles with pillar candles and trailed devils ivy up the staircase. Between this we planted perfumed garden roses in subtle pastel tones to create the sense of an enchanted garden, inside.
The intention behind all the work goes beyond flowers. It goes beyond weddings and beyond events. The purpose of is to elevate your senses, heighten your emotions and make moments truly unforgettable.
